Biography

Austin Bourne, an 11-year-old from Kentucky, has already made significant strides in the entertainment industry. With a passion for storytelling and character development, Austin is dedicated to his craft, showing a commitment to training and preparation that sets him apart as a rising star.

​

Austin's journey in film began with his work on the award-winning animated series Yeti, Set, Go!, where he voices Wes the Wolf in Junga the Dancing Yeti®. These beloved characters teach children valuable lessons about fair play, forgiveness, and friendship. Austin joined an impressive international cast of voice actors, including five former NFL players, contributing to a project recognized for its positive impact on youth. The series is part of the Confident Life™ Anti-Bullying Program, which received the 2023 Safe Family Seal of Approval for Innovation in Curriculum from the Child Safety Network®. The film garnered multiple awards at the 2024 International Independent Film Awards and the San Diego International Kids’ Film Festival, including a Diamond Winner for the voiceover cast.

Austin also stars in the film Ghosts of the Big Sandy, playing the lead role of Scot. This captivating adventure follows Scot and his friends as they embark on a ghost-hunting journey that unveils a decades-long mystery. The film was officially selected for the 2024 Northeast Film Festival and Louisville’s International Festival of Film.

In the holiday film Festival of Trees, Austin portrays a sick child in a hospital who learns the true meaning of Christmas through a charitable tree decorating competition. His performance added depth to this family-friendly story, highlighting themes of compassion and community.

Austin shines in Just One Life, where he plays David, an adolescent in an after-school program. His light-hearted character, with an insatiable appetite for life, resonates with audiences and earned the film selections at the 2024 Worldwide Women’s Film Festival and the 2023 Hollywood Independent Filmmaker Awards & Festival.

Austin's talents extend beyond acting; he has excelled academically, winning his elementary school spelling bees and achieving top grades in Mathematics, Reading, and Science. He is also a budding martial artist, currently a brown belt, with aspirations to reach black belt status. His athletic interests include basketball, soccer, swimming, and beginner surfing, reflecting his love for the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, Austin balances his time between sports and academics, proudly considering himself a “Mathlete” for his enthusiasm for math challenges.

Since 2021, Austin has honed his skills at Cynthia Bain’s Young Actors Studio and trained in voiceover with Martha Kahn. He has also taken improv classes at Second City Improv School and studied voice and musical theatre at Cincinnati Children’s Theatre. His dedication to improving his craft is evident in his regular training sessions, ensuring he remains a competitive force in the industry.

When not in front of the camera, Austin enjoys life on his family’s beef cattle farm in Kentucky and spending time on Florida's Treasure Coast. He has a natural Southern dialect and can effortlessly adopt a light British accent, showcasing his versatility as a performer.
